Welcome!

Have you ever:
Wished your iTunes would be more full than it is?
Been embarrassed by having too much (or any) Bruno Mars?
Wanted to sound like a snobby hipster by talking about bands that no one knows?
Wanted to feel something from listening to music?

If you answered yes to any of those questions. This blog is for you!

Mid Summer Playlist

1. On Top (feat. T.Shirt) - Flume
You may remember Flume from that song I posted of theirs earlier, "Insane" which I loved. You can hear the similarity in the back, but this song comes alive with T.Shirt.

2. Dark Star - Jaymes Young
This is the first Jaymes Young song I've gotten. This song needs to be listened to with good headphones. Your computer speakers will not do it justice

3. Tennis Court - Lorde
This girl is 16 years old. Incredible job done by anyone, let alone a 16 year old.

4. Gun - CHVRCHES
I hadn't really gotten into CHVRCHES until this song. I really like how sweet Lauren Mayberry sounds but she's actually spitting fire.

5. Jubel - Klingande
If you like listening to saxophone solos, this song is best I can ever off you on this blog.

6. MYD - Evian Christ
This guy knows how to make a great beat. Listen to him with moderation. For me, he can be too much at times.

7. Girlfriend - Icona Pop
For those of you who loved Jay-Z's song "03 Bonnie and Clyde" you're in luck. Icona Pop took parts of that jam and converted it into a summer pop anthem.

8. Rivers - Bipolar Sunshine
Bipolar Sunshine's debut EP Aesthetics just dropped a few weeks ago. They sound like a poppier version on the Neighbourhood.

9. Miasma Sky - Baths
I really enjoy the opening of this song and I love how 40 seconds in or so, theirs actually no sound. What an interesting song.

10. I Need My Girl - The National
When first listening to The National's new album Trouble Will Find Me, this song doesn't stand out as much as "Sea of Love" or "Don't Swallow the Cap", but give it time.

11. Recover - CHVRCHES
Chvrches has an album coming out this fall which I now suspect will be one of my favorites of the year.

Mid-Year Top 15

Now that June just ended, I like to reflect at the year so far. One of the ways I reflect is by ranking my favorite songs so far from this year. Below is that list. Compared to previous years, this list is very deep. I already have 50 songs I would happily place on my 2013 Top 50 playlist that I will make in January. But for now, I will show you my top 15 so far (you'll have to wait until January for the full list).  For you devote readers, none of these songs will be new, but to those of you who check periodically, this is the blog post to actually listen to all the songs. Enjoy!
